The inner tie rod and ball stud is CNC machined from 4140 chromoly with metal-on-metal bearing surfaces for durability that far exceeds the plastic inner races of the factory components. The adjustment threads are also beefier. The outer tie rod is forged steel and houses a beefy, metal-on-metal tie rod end that is greaseable for extended service life. Top Plate Reinforcement Kit for 2024 Tacoma As much as we love the new 4th Gen Toyota Tacoma, our initial durability testing did reveal one weakness in the OE suspension. We discovered that the front upper shock mount and shock stem bushing may fail under hard use. So we developed this Top Plate Reinforcement Kit to remedy this issue and prevent such damage. Check out this video that shows us discovering the issue in real time, then developing this inexpensive upgrade that is essential for any 2024 Tacoma running the factory suspension components off-road: This kit supports and reinforces the factory upper shock mount. It will also capture and retain the shock stem bushing if a failure does occur. ICON recommends this upgrade on any 2024 Tacoma that gets driven vigorously off-road using the OE front coilover shocks. Installation Notes The Top Plate Reinforcement is quick and easy to install, as there is no need to jack up the vehicle or even remove the tire (though we removed the tire for these photos to provide a clear view). Simply remove the three coilover top mount nuts, install the Top Plate Reinforcement, and re-torque the nuts. The reinforcement plate is CNC machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum. NEW PRODUCT 2005-23 Toyota Tacoma Lower Control Arm Kit The ICON Vehicle Dynamics 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma Lower Control Arm Kit is designed to be the ultimate stock width replacement control arm upgrade. Their fully welded, boxed, CNC laser cut and brake formed steel plate construction is internally braced with multiple ribs to offer significantly improved strength over the stock Tacoma LCAs. Featuring a high ground clearance design, specially angled plates also allow the arms to easily slide over larger obstacles out on the trail. CNC machined forged steel ball joint housings maintain the highest possible ground clearance while also ensuring strength and appropriate CV boot clearance on 4WD Tacoma models. Rather than using traditional top mounted coilover mounting tabs, these LCAs utilize recessed coilover mounts, further increasing strength and provide race inspired styling. Their incorporated secondary shock mounting tabs tie seamlessly into the ICON S2 Secondary Shock System for a fully bolt-on installation of multiple secondary shock options to effectively double the shock damping ability of the front suspension and improve off-road performance. To make these arms as much at home on the street as they are on the trail, the lower ball joints are of a metal on metal and greaseable design to avoid the short service life and noises typically associated with uniballs while also being able to withstand the abuses of aggressive off-road use. The inner pivot bushings are bonded polyurethane to the outer sleeve and unbonded inner sleeve to minimize deflection and improve handling characteristics while allowing unhindered suspension movement though the entire travel range. Additionally, these specialty bushings do not require any greasing or other maintenance throughout their service life. These are constructed of CNC machined 6061 billet aluminum merging light weight with high strength properties. Replacing the OE ball joint with the ICON Delta Joint PRO allows for full bump and droop travel of the front suspension while eliminating bind. FK Rod End 7/8” heim joints provide precise and smooth function throughout the range of travel while ICON’s signature double adjuster sleeve allows for on-vehicle camber and caster adjustment. Included with all components and hardware necessary for a complete install, these billet UCAs are the perfect upgrade for the 2021-2023 Ford Raptor. Delta Joint PRO is ICON's innovative new suspension articulation joint which combines the durability and longevity of factory style ball joints with performance and strength that exceeds traditional motorsports-style ball joints. Strength and durability are improved by using a larger ball with 56% more bearing surface than our standard Delta Joint, along with improved lubrication sealing. But improved performance is at the heart of the Delta Joint PRO, with a full 90 degrees of articulation, from one extreme to the other.
