NEW: 2020-26 GM 2500/3500 Suspension Systems & Components
ICON Vehicle Dynamics is proud to introduce a comprehensive lineup of performance suspension components and complete staged suspension systems engineered specifically for 2020–2026 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 & 3500 heavy-duty trucks. At the heart of the lineup are ICON's new 2.0 HD VS shocks alongside the proven 2.5 VS and 3.0 VS shocks — delivering up to 3.5 inches of front lift and superior suspension performance on- and off-road.
Whether you're an everyday street driver, a weekend warrior, or pushing your HD truck to its limits in the backcountry, ICON now has a purpose-built system for your 3/4-ton or 1-ton GM truck. Read on for a full breakdown of every new product — individual components and complete systems alike.
ICON 2.0 HD VS Shocks
A quality performance upgrade engineered for the demands of GM's heavy-duty platform. 100% rebuildable. 100% revalveable. Available in Internal Reservoir and Remote Reservoir configurations.
The ICON 2.0 HD VS (Vehicle Specific) Aluminum Series is an ideal upgrade for the everyday street driver and weekend warrior looking for improved on- and off-road performance. The "HD" designation brings meaningful construction upgrades over standard 2.0 VS shocks:
- 6061-T6 seamless 3/16" wall hard anodized shock bodies
- OD top cap design for improved seal head performance
- 5/8" chrome rod for increased durability
- Forged clevis lower mount on front shocks
- Bonded OE style bar pin upper mount on front shocks
- 100% rebuildable & 100% revalveable
ICON 2.5 VS Shocks
Larger diameter and greater oil volume for serious performance and heat resistance. Available with CDCV, CDXS, and CDEV electronic damping control.
The ICON 2.5 VS (Vehicle Specific) Aluminum Series shocks deliver outstanding off-road performance and a smooth street ride. The increased diameter and oil volume versus the 2.0 series provides better ride quality and superior heat dissipation. An internal Bump Zone increases damping force by 20% as the shock approaches full compression — preventing harsh bottom-outs under hard use.
ICON 3.0 VS Shocks
50% more piston surface area than the 2.5 series. The pinnacle of ICON off-road shock performance for GM HD trucks.
The ICON 3.0 VS Series represents the top tier of ICON's shock absorber lineup. Compared to the 2.5 series, 3.0 shocks feature 50% more piston surface area, delivering increased stability and vehicle control at the extremes of off-road use. Greater internal oil volume and external surface area provide improved heat dissipation and resistance to shock fade under sustained hard use.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about ICON's new GM 2500/3500 suspension lineup.
What ICON suspension options are available for 2020–2026 GM 2500/3500 trucks?
ICON now offers three shock series — 2.0 HD VS, 2.5 VS, and 3.0 VS — available as individual components or as 9 staged complete suspension systems with up to 3.5 inches of front lift.
How much lift can I get with ICON suspension on a GM 2500/3500?
ICON's complete systems for 2020–2026 GM 2500/3500 trucks deliver between 2 and 3.5 inches of front lift, achieved with ICON Torsion Keys paired with vehicle-specific HD shocks front and rear.
What is the difference between ICON's 2.0 HD, 2.5 VS, and 3.0 VS shocks?
The 2.0 HD VS is the entry-level performance upgrade with a 6061-T6 hard anodized body, 5/8" chrome rod, and 100% rebuildability. The 2.5 VS adds a larger diameter and greater oil volume for improved ride quality and heat dissipation. The 3.0 VS delivers 50% more piston surface area than the 2.5, maximizing stability, control, and fade resistance at the extremes of off-road use.
What is the difference between ICON's CDCV, CDXS, and CDEV damping systems?
CDCV (Compression Damping Control Valve) provides manual compression adjustment via a knob on the reservoir. CDXS (Compression Damping Dual Speed) adds independent control of both high-speed and low-speed compression circuits. CDEV (Compression Damping Electronic Valve) with IIC automatically adjusts compression damping in microseconds based on terrain and can be configured via a smartphone app.
Are ICON shocks rebuildable?
Yes. All ICON 2.0 HD VS, 2.5 VS, and 3.0 VS shocks are 100% rebuildable and 100% revalveable.
Do the complete systems include rear leaf springs?
ICON performance rear leaf spring packs (#178527) are available as an optional add-on beginning at Stage 2 for the 2.0/2.5 systems, and are optional with all three 3.0 Stage systems.
Will these systems fit the Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 or GMC Sierra AT4X?
The ZR2 and AT4X models will have a front lift height range of approximately 0.5–2" over stock (rather than the standard 2–3.5") due to their different factory geometry. Please review technical notes on each product page before ordering.
