1. Choose Your Level of Performance
Start with the suspension architecture that matches your Tacoma, then tailor shock technology, control arms, rear links, track bar, and spring rate around your terrain, payload, and driving style.
4WD systems. Every complete system here is configured for a 4WD Tacoma and includes an ICON front differential drop. It improves CV angles at full droop, which is what lets ICON open up the available front travel while protecting the CVs at the end of that range. Building a la carte? The coilovers require the front differential drop kit (#55160) on 4WD.
RWD. The coilovers also fit a RWD Tacoma, where no differential drop is needed. There are currently no complete-system SKUs for RWD, so those builds are ordered component by component.
Rear leaf-spring submodels. These systems are built around the rear coil spring setup. SR and TRD PreRunner use rear leaf springs instead — and it appears as an option on some SR5 trucks, plus Mexico-market Sport, TRD Sport and HEV. On a leaf-spring truck every front component still fits, but none of the rear components do, including the rear shocks.
