Overview
ICON Vehicle Dynamics 2025-2026 Toyota 4Runner suspension systems are designed with maximum performance and the serious driver in mind. ICON engineers’ primary focus is to increase wheel travel and damping ability, which translates into outstanding vehicle control and ride quality both on- and off-road. The ICON Vehicle Dynamics 2025-2026 Toyota 4Runner Stage 2 3.0 CDXS suspension system is an excellent choice for those drivers looking to enhance the capabilities of their vehicle with maximum shock damping and compression damping adjustability in a complete suspension package to remove the limitations of stock components. This Stage 2 system builds upon Stage 1 with rear upper and lower links and adjustable rear track bar added to the core system.
The Stage 2 3.0 system includes vehicle-specific tuned 3.0 Series coilover shocks featuring CDXS equipped remote reservoirs for exceptional cooling properties and ICON-engineered coil springs for superior vehicle “feel” through the range of travel. These coilovers are height adjustable from 2.25-3” of front lift height over stock, allowing the use of larger, more aggressive wheel and tire combinations. 3.0 Series shocks boast 50% more piston surface area in the ride zone of the shock's travel, and 100% in the “Bump Zone”, compared to 2.5 Series shocks. This translates into increased stability and vehicle control at the extremes of off-road use, with benefits also making themselves apparent in on-road driving conditions. The multi-stage hydraulic Bump Zone featured in these 3.0 Series coilovers exponentially increases bottom-out resistance as the shock travels through the last 40% of travel, keeping vehicle dynamics in check during those hard hits or unexpected obstacles. Remote reservoirs greatly increase shock oil volume and heat dissipation surface area to resist overheating and cavitation under hard use, which can lead to damper fade. ICON's exclusive Compression Damping Dual Speed (CDXS) valves are included for precisely dialing in your suspension performance. CDXS controls fluid flow under compression, with independent adjustability of high speed and low speed compression force. 10 discreet detented settings for both low and high-speed adjustment knobs allow separate adjustments for handling response and overall aggressiveness. The combination of front differential drop brackets and ICON’s specifically designed coilover lengths maximizes the available front suspension travel and prevents CV bind. Additionally, polyurethane differential mounting bushings replace the soft OE bushings to help limit differential movement under load.
The included ICON tubular upper control arm kit is designed to improve overall performance with corrected front-end geometry, built in additional caster, and improved suspension component clearance to fit the larger diameter coil springs used on 3.0 Series coilovers. Additionally, replacing the OE ball joint with the all-new, serviceable, and rebuildable ICON Delta Joint PRO allows for full bump and droop travel of the front suspension while eliminating bind. The dual-rate rear coil design provides a softer ride height spring rate with a firmer overload rate that combine to deliver on-road comfort with excellent bottoming resistance and superior off-road performance while 1.875” of rear lift height over stock allows a for level stance front to rear. ICON tubular rear upper and lower links employ dual-durometer greaseless bushings at one end, and massive FK rod ends at the other to provide the best combination of free articulation while isolating and damping road noise and vibrations. The ICON Billet Adjustable Rear Track Bar helps re-center the rear axle and double adjuster rod end threads allow easy "on-vehicle" fine adjustment of track bar length without requiring removal or disassembly of the track bar. ICON 3.0 Series remote reservoir rear shocks with CDXS provide improved shock damping ability compared to 2.5 Series shocks and utilize a vehicle-specific valving that balances the performance of the 4Runner from front to rear.
