The 2011-UP Ranger T6 Overview
The 2011-UP Ranger T6 (or Global Ranger) is a mid-size pickup that has been dubbed “the most capable small pickup” that Ford has ever built. With a sturdy body-on-frame construction and a well-designed front and rear suspension layout, the Ranger T6 is a perfect platform for performance suspension upgrades. With this in mind, the ICON engineering team assessed the vehicle from front to back, identifying opportunities for increased wheel travel, improved damping, and strengthening of OE components.
ICON Development Results
After extensive research and development, ICON delivered components including 2.5 VS (Vehicle-Specific) Series coilovers and 2.0 Aluminum Series rear shocks. These components combine with optional upgrades to create three staged suspension systems built for different uses, driving styles, and vehicle configurations. All stages provide 1–3” of adjustable lift, suitable for larger wheel/tire packages or added accessories such as bumpers and winches.
Performance remains a priority across all systems. Stage 1 already increases wheel travel and damping capability, while higher stages introduce features such as remote reservoirs for better cooling and the ICON CDC (Compression Damping Control) Valve for fine-tuned ride adjustments.
