NEW ICON TECHNOLOGY

CDXS Compression Damping Dual Speed Adjustable Shocks & Coilovers

ICON Vehicle Dynamics is proud to introduce the latest addition to our suspension performance technology lineup. The CDXS Compression Damping Dual Speed Adjustability System represents the next evolution in vehicle suspension, delivering unmatched performance and customization for our most popular platforms. Over the coming weeks and months, CDXS will be introduced across a range of vehicle applications.

Building on the success of our proven CDCV technology—which has provided single-input adjustability for years—CDXS takes performance to the next level. The new system features dual adjustment inputs to independently control compression damping for low-speed and high-speed shock velocities. This innovation allows drivers to fine-tune their vehicle's performance, optimizing both normal driving conditions and more aggressive scenarios.

NO COMPROMISES

Gone are the days of compromise. Drivers no longer need to endure high-speed harshness for cornering stability, nor must off-roaders choose between low-speed compliance and high-speed responsiveness. With CDXS, ICON Vehicle Dynamics delivers a comprehensive solution for all driving styles and terrains. With the all-new CDXS system from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, we've taken the low-speed knob found in our proven CDCV system and refined it with finer adjustment increments in the low-speed range of the shock. We then added a high-speed knob to adjust the upper limit of force the shock can generate, allowing drivers to fully tune the shock's compression damping performance over a wide range of driving scenarios.
High and low-speed settings are clearly marked on easy-to-grip knobs, making adjustments simple and intuitive. If the knobs are not visible in their mounted position, settings can be adjusted by counting clicks—turning the knob fully counterclockwise to the stop, then count up to the desired setting. Each knob offers 360° operating range with 10 detents and hard stops at both ends.

LOW SPEED DAMPING ADJUSTMENT

CDXS low-speed fluid circuit and adjustment valve function similarly to the single adjuster on ICON's proven CDCV shocks and coilovers but with finer tuning increments. This valve adjusts flow pressure for low-speed fluid movement, which fine-tunes damping performance allowing precise adjustments to ride dynamics, road feel, body sway during cornering, and damping for typical on- and off-road driving conditions.

HIGH SPEED DAMPING ADJUSTMENT

New to ICON's CDXS Series shocks and coilovers is the addition of a separate fluid flow circuit and control valve specifically engineered for high speed shock performance. The High Speed adjustment knob allows the driver to further tune the shock to behave as desired through higher-speed, aggressive driving as well as momentary extraordinary events such as sudden bumps and drop-offs.

Separate adjustment for Low-Speed and High-Speed shock performance gives the driver ultimate control over the entire range of shock performance, with the ability to fine-tune it for virtually any terrain conditions or driving style.

CDXS KEY FEATURES:

  • Independent adjustability of high speed and low speed compression force. Adjust for handling response and aggressiveness.
  • 10 discrete detented settings for both low and high speed adjustment knobs.
  • Easy to read settings. No need to count clicks.
  • Low speed: use to adjust handling and road feel.
  • High speed: use to adjust for aggressive driving and terrain.
  • Specific tunes for IFS and 1:1 applications.
  • Remote reservoir and piggyback configurations.

    PROVEN 2.5 VS SERIES SHOCK

ICON's CDXS system will be available in our 2.5 Vehicle Specific shocks and coilovers, offered in both remote reservoir and piggyback configurations. These 2.5 VS shocks are part of our proven line of fully rebuildable performance shock absorbers, featuring 2.5" diameter shock bodies and 7/8" diameter shafts. Vehicle applications, including complete suspension system "Stages," will begin with the 2021-Up Ford Bronco (announcement coming soon) and will expand to other popular models like Toyota, Ford, GM, and Jeep in the coming weeks.
